Fall Family Weekend

This year’s Fall Family Weekend will be a virtual activity-filled weekend devoted to providing opportunities for students and their families to engage and connect through a variety of low-cost and free campus and community offerings.

Event highlights include:

  • Cooking Demos & Cheesemaking: Join Huxley College professor Dr. Gigi Berardi for remote learning experiences you can sink your teeth into! Through online courses and video demonstrations, join Dr. Berardi in the comfort of your home as she leads you through the basics of cheesemaking, sauerkraut preparation, and more!
  • Pumpkin Carving: Grab your own pumpkin and join our Pumpkin Carving Zoom Room, hosted by our Orientation Student Advisors. Basic design? Viking theme? Iconic Halloween? Show off your carving skills!
  • Brunch in a Box: We are pleased to continue our Western tradition of connecting with, and enjoying, local agriculture and delicious farm-fresh fare with Sunday brunch! The Brunch in a Box meal kit has been locally sourced and contains some of your favorite Bellewood Farms products, Marie’s Bees honey, Bellingham Coffee Roasters, and more that you can prepare and share from the comfort of home! There are pick up or delivery options. Check out the event website for details on how to purchase and order in time for Fall Family Weekend or to enjoy afterwards!
  • Celebrate Huxley College of the Environment’s 50th Anniversary: Explore research highlights that showcase the amazing work of Huxley students, faculty, and staff in support of environmental science and studies.

We’ll provide you with several live and pre-recorded events as well as virtual tours and DIY activities hosted from the https://nssfo.wwu.edu/fall-family-weekend webpage for you to safely enjoy from the comfort of your home! Keep an eye on the FFW website and the WWU Family Connection newsletter for more details!
